The Newark City Council aopted a resolution declaring the City of Newark as a Welcoming City to show Newark's commitment to enhancing its cultural fabric by supporting and celebrating its multi-ethnic, diversity, which includes newcomers and immigrants.
City Hall is open Monday - Friday (except for every other Friday when City Hall is closed) from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm). Appointments are required from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The Police Department lobby is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Police Dispatch can be reached via intercom located outside the Police building during off hours. The City continues to offer online and phone service.
