Police Approval Needed

The City of Newark has established certain ordinances and guidelines relating to different business practices. Some of these ordinances and guidelines relate to specific permits that are issued by the Police Department and or require Police approval in order to conduct the business. Prior to the issuance of a business license, you may be required to submit a supplemental application or answer a supplemental questionnaire. Some of the businesses that require Police approval, but not limited to, are as follows:
