Bike to Boba in Newark

The City of Newark is launching a Bike to Boba promotional event to celebrate National Boba Day and combine it with National Bike to Wherever Day. The goal of the program is to encourage residents and visitors to connect with our local small businesses to try something new or revisit a favorite spot. There is no extra cost for businesses to participate.

 

How It Works:

  • The promotional event lasts for two weeks, from May 14 to May 31, 2026.
  • Official “Boba Trail” passports will show all participating Newark businesses.
  • The passports will be distributed on Bike to Wherever Day, on May 14, at the City Energizer Station We will host a booth at Community Center Park. You can also get a passport from any of the participating businesses.
  • Customers can earn a stamp on their passports when they make a purchase.
  • The more shops they visit, the more chances customers have to win a raffle prize at the end of the promotion.
  • Customers can enter the raffle by submitting their passport. Submissions must be received no later than June 3, 2026.
  • The stamped passports can be submitted online by completing the form at the bottom of this page; or they can be dropped off at Newark City Hall, located at 37101 Newark Blvd.

What This Means for Businesses:

  • Simply tell us what discount or special you will offer during the event period.
  • We will provide you with a stamp and extra Boba Trail Passports. You simply need to stamp the passport when customers purchase drinks.
  • Please share this event on your social media accounts to help spread the word (not required).
  • No cost, no complicated steps.
