Newark Residents!
The Newark Police Department hosts free document shredding events twice a year (typically one in the Spring, and one in the Fall), to help residents securely dispose of personal and confidential paperwork. These events are part of our ongoing efforts to promote identity theft prevention and community safety. Shredding is done on-site by a professional shredding service, and Newark residents are encouraged to bring documents such as old tax returns, medical records, bank statements, and other sensitive material.
Stay tuned to our website and social media for upcoming event dates!
