The Records Unit is staffed by a Records Supervisor,  two Public Safety Clerks, and Police Volunteers. The Newark Police Department Records Unit front counter is open to the public Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Records Unit provides a high standard of customer service to the public regarding:

• Police Records
• Warrants
• Miscellaneous Front Counter Inquires
• Towed Vehicle Releases (this service is provided 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week)
• Copy of a Police/Traffic Collision Report
• Vacation Home Check Request
