The City of Newark is seeking informal bids from interested firms for the above referenced project. The improvements are generally described as follows:
- Concrete excavation and disposal.
- Demolition of existing fuel island.
- Removal and disposal of one 12,000-gallon UST containing gasoline.
- Removal and disposal of one 4,000-gallon UST containing diesel.
- UST rinse and inertion.
- Backfill and asphalt placement.

- Bids will be accepted until 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Note: City offices are closed Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day. There will be no public bid opening.
- The Engineer’s estimate for this project is $200,000.
- It is the City’s intent to award the contract for this work by Monday, November 17, 2025.
No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. However, bidders are strongly urged to visit the job site before submitting bids. Submission of a bid shall be considered as an acknowledgement of site investigation. If your firm is interested, sealed bids must be delivered to the Public Works Department-Engineering Division counter of the City of Newark at 37101 Newark Boulevard, First Floor, Newark, California 94560, before 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
