2. Check availability & submit your date request online at:

3. A $500 refundable damage deposit will be charged once your date is approved.

4. Newark Recreation Staff will email your rental contract for review and signature within 1-2 weeks.

5. Rental contract must be signed and returned within 48 hours of receipt.

6. All rental fees will be charged upon receipt of your signed rental contract.

No hall viewings on 12/24/25, 12/31/25, and 1/7/26.

Outdoor Patio Information: The outdoor patio at Newark Community Center is unlit. Renters are responsible for bringing their own lighting.

Exterior doors must be closed by 9:00 PM. Must vacate the building by 10:00 PM.

Rates

Notes

• Parking is not reserved for rentals and is open to all attending the park during your event.
• The facility will be closed and unavailable for rental on the following City holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day
• Areas of the Newark Community Center may experience roof leaks during rainy weather. If rain is forecasted for your event, you may request a refund or reschedule for a later date within six months from the date of the original rental with no cancellation fees. Rescheduling due to rain must be done at least 72 hours before your event. After 72 hours, refunds will not be issued.

1. Interactive Inflatables or more commonly referred to as “Jump/Bounce Houses”, are only allowed within the Newark Community Park. Placement of Interactive Inflatables and generators is limited to the posted area between the path east of the Tennis Courts and Newark Blvd. Companies providing interactive inflatables must have a current City of Newark Business License and comply with all insurance requirements. City of Newark sponsored events are exempt from this policy.

2. Dogs are only allowed off-leash within the designated dog park at Newark Community Park. For all other areas, dogs and other pets must be leashed (per NMC 12.16.180).

3. All picnic tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Tables may not be reserved.

4. For events in excess of 100 people, a special Encroachment Permit is required. Encroachment Permits must be obtained from the City of Newark Public Works Department.

5. Golf and use of model aircraft, vehicles and boats to include drones on or over land owned, managed or controlled by the City is not allowed (per NMC 12.16.250).
